"Something Blue" Lapis Lazuli, Swarovski Crystal and Pearl Kumihimo Necklace

My "Something Blue" necklace is a combination of glowing cultured freshwater pearls with center stones in gorgeous lapis lazuli and sparkly Swarovski crystals. The beads are braided on 8 strands to create an elegant heirloom-quality necklace for wedding, or any special occasion. "Something Blue" is designed with 3.5 - 5mm mesmerizing button and rice shape pearls using the Kumihimo technique. All are braided on eight strands of stainless steel wire, and finished with sterling silver cone end caps, sterling silver toggle clasp, and my designer tag. You will look graceful and classic in this exquisite necklace.

Kumihimo is the art of traditional Japanese braiding, and has been around for about 1,500 years. I am enjoying the design possibilities using this very intriguing and Zen-like technique of braiding.
