Season’s promise of nature’s hues

Sky splashes yellows and high peaking blues

Gray curtain opens taking matinée bows

Artful casts of scenes so fleeting

Rainbow’s soliloquy secures rave reviews

Gentle ovation as spectacle fades from one act to two

Giving promise of rebirth, a new day to view

Mother Nature facts about rainbows:

Did you know that a double rainbow appears when light is reflected twice in a raindrop?

The longest lasting rainbow was 9 hours. Wow!

Oh, what's not to love about springtime! This time of year, a day can change from moment to moment. Hard rain to sunshine, misting while the sun competes for time, and fog over, again. With these changes we have the joy of spectacular rainbows. I caught this vibrant arc of color from our deck with my cell phone. . . inspiration for a small poem.
