Impressions of March
March is always green to me
New buds slight, peeking out on limbs and boughs
Bird’s morning gossip cheerful and proud
Luck of Irish, green clover, St. Patrick lore
We celebrate, observe nature’s season tour
Watching lion of winter fade into lamb of spring
Breaths of fresh citrusy sprouts
Sprinkles of rain quenching pasture and lea
Ray of sun through prismed drops
Hopeful hues of greens and blues
Brings droplets of spring
To color March green
